NINE GARDENS Privacy Policy

NINE GARDENS Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026/09/10

Aile ("we", "us") provides NINE GARDENS for iPhone and iPad (the "App"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

The App offers gameplay, advertising, a one-time purchase to remove ads, and optional usage analytics. Available features may differ by version. Advertising, purchases and participation in analytics do not manipulate your pieces, difficulty or scoring.

1. Game saves and information on your device

Game progress, scores, play history, settings and confirmed purchase entitlements are primarily stored on your device. We do not require a separate game account. We do not upload your full game save, board, replay seed or replay archive for usage analytics.

Device backups and App Store purchase history are handled according to your Apple settings and the applicable services. Removing the App may remove local game saves. Game progress synchronization or recovery across devices is not guaranteed.

2. Advertising

Versions with advertising use Google's AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google and advertising service providers may process the following for ad delivery, measurement, service protection and fraud prevention:

  • IP address and approximate location;
  • device and app identifiers, device type, operating system and app information;
  • ad impressions, viewing and interaction information;
  • crash, performance and diagnostic information.

Where IDFA is used for tracking as defined by Apple, the required iOS permission is obtained. Non-personalized advertising can still involve information processing for delivery and fraud prevention. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all advertising-related communication.

Google User Messaging Platform manages privacy choices where applicable to your location and our configuration. When "Ad privacy settings" is available in the App's settings, you can use it to review or change your choices. You can change iOS tracking permission in your device settings.

An active Remove Ads entitlement stops interstitial and rewarded ads from being displayed or newly loaded by the App. It does not stop App Store communication needed to check your purchase, or optional analytics to which you separately consented.

3. Optional usage analytics

We use Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics to improve usability, reliability, game modes and stages. This optional analytics is intended for users who confirm that they are at least 18 and agree to participate. Refusing does not change gameplay or rewards.

After you agree, Google receives information including:

  • an identifier generated for an installation of the App;
  • app launches, sessions, usage duration and app version;
  • device type, operating system and approximate location;
  • modes, stages, placement and cancellation events, results, play duration, scores and clear totals;
  • ad completion, failure and suppression, assists, and purchase or restoration outcomes.

This analytics integration disables IDFA and IDFV collection and advertising personalization. We do not add your name, email address or our own account identifier to analytics events. Our custom events do not include your full save file, board, seed, replay, free-text input or purchase receipt. Because an app-instance identifier is used, this is not analytics without identifiers.

You can stop analytics in Settings → Privacy → Help improve the game. Stopping disables future analytics collection and resets analytics data and the analytics identifier on this device. This action does not delete all information already sent or all historical server reports.

We may analyze aggregate reports without individual user identifiers using access-controlled development tools, including AI tools, to improve the App. We do not provide full game saves or individual behavioral histories to those tools as part of this workflow.

4. Purchases

Apple's App Store processes payment for Remove Ads. We do not receive your credit card number or similar payment credentials through the App.

We use Unity In-App Purchasing and Apple's StoreKit for purchasing, restoration and entitlement checks. Product, transaction, entitlement and purchase/restoration outcome information is processed to provide purchases, restore access, prevent duplicate processing and address fraud. Information processed by SDK providers is also subject to their policies.

Use "Restore purchases" in the App's settings to restore an eligible purchase. Apple also retains records in your Apple account and purchase history.

5. Support

If you contact us, information you submit, such as your name, email address and message, is used to respond, investigate and maintain support records. Do not submit passwords, card numbers, private keys or unnecessary identity documents.

The support website's privacy policy also applies to information handled by that website.

6. Service providers and international processing

| Provider and service | Main purpose | Provider policy |

| Google: AdMob and UMP | Advertising, choices, measurement and fraud prevention | Google Privacy Policy |
| Google: Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics | Consented usage analytics | Firebase privacy information |
| Unity: Unity In-App Purchasing | Purchasing, restoration and related service processing | Unity Privacy Policy |
| Apple: App Store and StoreKit | Payment, purchase history and entitlement verification | Apple Privacy Policy |

These services may store or process information outside Japan or your country. We take steps required by applicable law, including necessary notices, consent and contractual safeguards. Where additional recipients are listed in an advertising consent message, please review that information as well.

7. Retention

Local game data may remain on your device until removed through the App or device operations.

For user-level and event-level information covered by Google Analytics retention settings, we use a two-month retention period without resetting retention on new activity. This setting does not apply to all standard aggregate reports. Aggregate reports may be retained as needed for improvement and operations.

Purchase, ad fraud prevention and support information is retained as needed for its purposes and according to service settings, contracts and applicable legal obligations. Information no longer needed is deleted or otherwise appropriately managed.

8. Your choices, rights and security

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of use or withdrawal of consent. Please contact us. We may request reasonable information to identify the relevant records. If records cannot be linked to you, including certain aggregate information, we will explain the limitation.

Advertising and analytics choices are separate. Purchasing Remove Ads does not itself change your optional analytics setting. We use safeguards such as restrictions on access to information.

9. Children

This is a general-audience puzzle. To apply age-appropriate privacy settings, we store your chosen age range on your device. We do not request your date of birth or send your age range to analytics. Please choose accurately.

Ads are limited to users who confirm they are at least 18 and satisfy the advertising consent requirements for their location. Optional analytics also requires separate, express consent. For users under 18, with no answer, or without an adult age choice, ads and analytics stay off and the game rules remain the same. Ad-free assistance retains its usual limits and conditions.

You can change your age range in Settings → Privacy → Age range. Changing to a non-adult choice withdraws optional analytics consent. If you later choose an adult age range, we will request analytics consent again.

Parents or guardians with concerns about children's information handled through the App can contact us for review and appropriate action.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when features, services or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated policy and effective date here and provide an in-app notice when appropriate. Where new consent is required, we will obtain it before applying the relevant change.
